NHS Greenwich Clinical Commissioning Group is currently consulting on the future of urgent care services in the borough. It’s holding a session at Charlton House on 30 July – you’d be very welcome to come along…

Bugger. Am away. Will e-mail them my views. My daughter needed an out-of-hours GP two weeks ago (high fever). NHS Direct sent us to the Urgent Care Unit at the QEH, but we had to be assessed at A&E which was it’s usual disaster. What’s the point in being assessed by A&E to see if you need to see a GP??
As it was my daughter needed treatment (a drip as she sat in a chair in a corridor).
As we left (after a total of over five hours) we heard an announcement that it was now a 5-1/2 hour wait just to see a doctor.
