You can now support this website by becoming a member

We can’t keep producing The Charlton Champion without help from our readers. If you like what we do, please consider supporting us.

We know that a lot of people are grateful for what the site provides, and we’re also looking at ways to develop the site.

So we’re very proud to announce a new membership scheme for The Charlton Champion. We would be very grateful if you could consider supporting the site with a monthly, annual or one-off donation.

How does The Charlton Champion membership scheme work?

The Charlton Champion has partnered with PressPatron, a crowdfunding platform that makes it easy to support blogs and journalism websites. The PressPatron team would love to hear your feedback, and can be contacted here.

It charges in sterling, and there’s no VAT surcharge on top. You don’t even have to leave this website.

How do I do it?

Simply hit the button below, fill in the form, and PressPatron will take care of the rest. Or you can do it on the PressPatron website.

What will I get in return?

There are some goals we’d like to hit. If we raise about £300/month, we will restore comments to the site. If we get to £500/month, we will look at producing a one-off printed version of The Charlton Champion.

At present, we aren’t able to offer anything extra in exchange for becoming a member other than occasional email updates – unless you’re a business wanting to sponsor the site, in which case you can have your name in lights.

If this scheme is wildly successful, we may have a few things up our sleeve at a later date. So if you’re interested, please leave your home address if prompted.

I’m a local business – what can I do help?

We’d love you to advertise with us – find out more about how to book an ad.

We can also talk about site sponsorship deals, or sponsoring Kevin Nolan’s Charlton Athletic match reports – get in touch with us and we’ll talk.

What will you do with the money?

The money will be used by Flyover Media CIC, which publishes the site, to pay the site’s running costs and to pay contributors. Anything left over will go to new projects.

Are you still on Patreon?

We certainly are, as we know many readers like the convenience of Patreon, which hosts the schemes for other local sites. Please remember that with Patreon, you are charged in US dollars and then have VAT added to your bill. If you’re happy with that, crack on and support us on Patreon.
